JONATHAN NUNCIO

As a kid, running was my first love. It was
something that always came naturally to me. While all the other kids were trying out for the football or basketball team, I was pushing myself as hard and as far as I could on the track.  For as long as I can remember, I was fascinated with these men on Saturday morning TV, called the “Ironmen”.  They could do it all… Swim, Bike and Run. They were the ultimate athletes in my eyes.  One weekend I made a promise to my self, that one day that would be me.  After High school I stopped running all together and became, well… lazy.  For six years I did nothing.  Then I decided it was time to get back into the sport I loved so much as a kid.  But I did not only want to run.

This is where Alexander came into the picture.  Before I met Alexander I had never been in a pool or on a road bike in my life much less competed in the two events.  With his help and discipline I have been able to take my swimming to places I never thought possible.  After my first triathlon I was able to place 15th overall and win my age division, a feat made possible by Alexander’s rigorous training schedule and priceless advice.  With full confidence in my coach, I feel that I am well on my way to the Ironman finish I dreamed of as a kid.
